Four years of Bible, theology, discipleship, and practical ministry training, preceded by 2.5 years of elective courses.

Overview

A complete course of preparation.

Students complete 2.5 years of elective courses before entering the four-year Bible institute. After meeting entry requirements, students may join the rotating curriculum and continue through the full cycle. Courses combine classroom instruction, reading, notes, tests, and written work as assigned by the instructor.

Graduates receive a completion diploma after meeting the program’s course requirements. The diploma is a ministry-training credential; GBI does not hold educational accreditation.

Planning your studies

The curriculum combines classroom courses with foundational studies in Christian life and discipleship. The Next Steps classes and discipleship experience support the overall training pathway.

Class days and times vary. Ask the office for the current rotation, schedule, and entry requirements. Credit evaluations differ by receiving institution.

The institute follows a rotating four-year cycle. After completing the elective courses required for entry, students join the rotation and continue until all four years are complete. Class days and times vary by course and term.

Biblical Counseling

A study of counseling from a biblical perspective and the use of Scripture in helping others.

Spiritual Leadership & Prayer

Develop a biblical understanding of leadership, prayer, and personal preparation for ministry.

Youth & Children’s Ministry

Foundations for teaching and serving children and young people within the ministry of the church.

Missions

Study missionary work, the history of modern missions, cross-cultural ministry, and church planting.

The Seven Laws of the Teacher

Study principles of effective teaching through the Howard Hendricks video series and their application to Bible teaching.

Systematic Theology

Study Christian doctrine, theological definitions, and the biblical mysteries emphasized in the program.

God’s Word Preserved

Explore the history of the Bible, manuscript evidence, and the preservation of Scripture.

Creation Science

Study creation, science, and the Scriptures from the course’s biblical perspective.

Develop foundational skills in reading, writing, and English grammar for clear communication.
