GBI’S STATUS

Greentown Bible Institute holds no educational accreditation. Students complete 2.5 years of elective courses before entering the four-year Bible institute, which leads to a ministry-training completion diploma.

An articulation agreement describes how another school may recognize specified studies. It does not give GBI the receiving school’s accreditation, and it does not guarantee that other institutions will accept the same work.

Plan with the receiving institution

The receiving institution reviews applications and official transcripts and determines admission, accepted coursework, and remaining degree requirements.

Course totals on a GBI record and credit awarded by a receiving institution may differ. Credit evaluations are specific to the agreement and program.

Andersonville
Theological Seminary

The agreement describes a pathway to Andersonville’s Master of Ministry program for students who complete the specified GBI courses with the required grades.

  • A minimum of 2.0 (C or higher) is required for transfer coursework.
  • Students must complete Andersonville’s application process and submit official transcripts and supporting records.
  • The agreement is effective through February 11, 2032, with review before renewal.

Andersonville’s Fall 2025 catalog describes its accreditation through the Association of Independent Christian Colleges and Seminaries (AICCS), and states that it is not accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. This is distinct from GBI’s own status.
